For Parents/Guardians
This year will be the 39th trip to Koshigaya. We have successfully taken 38 student groups to Koshigaya and parents/guardians can be assured the groups are well organised, and the Koshigaya International Association provides a comprehensive program for our students while they are in Japan.
The two leaders from Campbelltown accompany the students throughout the trip.
There is a well-developed and proven program. The students take part in a preparation / orientation program starting several months before the trip, coming together regularly on Friday evenings and some Saturdays. The Association provides an orientation program to make sure the students are ready for their trip – bonding together as a group, learning about culture and language.
The first meeting brings together the students as well as their parent/s or guardian/s for a welcome and orientation session.
In Japan, the students travel to Koshigaya from Tokyo Airport in a bus and are introduced to their host family, which has been carefully selected by the Koshigaya International Association. Each morning Monday to Friday, the students gather at a central point around 8am and spend each day with the whole group, visiting sights and taking part in activities. In the evening the students return to the meeting point and are collected by the host family.
On the weekend the host family has the student for the two days and they arrange activities for the family and the student.
The group returns together from Tokyo on their way back to Sydney.
